HCG Drops - No Exercise Necessary
You may or may not have heard this rather dramatic claim that you don't have to exercise while taking HCG drops and doing the HCG diet. Oddly enough, it's true. But there's a little more to it than that.
Why does the question of exercise come up so often? Most people feel happy that they won't have to exercise, but they want some reassurance that it's actually true. Others just don't believe it. Still other people honestly want to exercise, and want to know what to do.
Fact: You Honestly Don't Have to Exercise
On the HCG diet, you only eat 500 calories per day, while the rest of your nutritional needs are met by the huge amount of fat that's being consumed every day. However, at any given time you have a fairly small amount of energy available. If you engage in strenuous exercise, your energy gets used up too quickly to be replenished by the burning of fat.
One of the biggest problems exercise causes is hunger that wouldn't normally exist. Extra hunger makes it more tempting for you to cheat and merely makes your diet harder. Avoiding exercise helps you stay true to the diet and feel wonderful the whole time. You still lose enough weight even without the exercise.
What If I Want to Exercise?
There is a somewhat risky method to allow you to keep exercising, if you're one of those healthy people who honestly wants to! Some exercisers have found that they can continue to exercise by raising their daily calories above the regular limit and continuing their normal HCG drops schedule. This can be risky, and you might find yourself in a plateau. But if you want to try it, record how many calories you are burning per day through exercise. Then add 0.75 of that amount to your daily calorie intake. This should permit you to continue losing weight while exercising.
Suggestions
Even though you don't have to exercise, it's still advised that you spend 30 minutes each day doing something active. This will help you form the healthy habits you'll need to maintain your weight and your active life even after you're done with your HCG drops.
